The gate capacitances are shown in Fig. 7.18a. C GS is the gate-to-source capacitance including overlap, fringe, and channel, C GD is the gate-to-drain capacitance including overlap and fringe, C GB is the gate-to-body capacitance, and C DB is the drain-to-body capacitance. The capacitances are voltage dependent. Since typically source and body are grounded, C GB and C DB are referred to source.
